Loctite 55 consists of a Polyamide thread with inert proprietary paste on it.

How many turns are recommended for a 1 inch pipe?

8 – 12 turns for a 1-inch pipe. Similarly, 6-8 turns for a ½” pipe, 7-9 turns for ¾”, 10-15 turns for 1.5” and 15-25 turns for a 2” pipe is recommended.

Loctite 55 allows readjustment upto 45° before use without shredding.
