Air compressors must withstand up to 14 bar and 110oC. Threaded fittings become vulnerable to leads under such operating conditions, affecting efficiency. Thread tape does not seal brass and copper threads effectively and their leftovers can migrate to inner mechanisms choking them.

Challenges 2: Spun bearings on shaft and damaged housing

Conventional methods provide limited metal to metal contact that can lead to loosening of bearing under dynamic loads. This can lead to shaft and housing wear and can cause decrease in compressor efficiency.

Solution: Secure bearings on shaft with LOCTITE 609 Retaining Compound

Challenge 3: Frequent loosening of frame bolts

Heavy vibration and thermal fluctuations can lead to loosening of frame bolts. This can damage the assembly and necessitate repeated tightening.

Solution: Secure frame bolts with LOCTITE 263 Threadlocker

Challenge 4: Leaks from gasket failure

Compressor flanges are rigid and machined. Pre-cut gaskets cannot plug the surface imperfections properly. Failure of flange gaskets can lead to costly leaks and frequent need for flange machining and gasket replacement.

Solution: Seal flanges with LOCTITE 518 Gasketing Compound

Challenge 5: Label bonding

Fixing identification tags on the compressor housing through bolting or welding can damage the casing.

Solution: Easily and aesthetically fix identification tags with LOCTITE 454 Instant Bonding Adhesive

Adapter bolts can work themselves loose under the effect of vibration, which can damage the assembly and can allow foreign particles to enter the frame.
